Organic Lemon Balm
Smells like fresh juicy lemons. Organic, non-GMO and pesticide free. Never heard of Lemon Balm? Read on to learn more!
Lemon balm is one of those fantastic plants that smells so amazing but also has many herbal benefits! It can repel mosquitoes, due to its high levels of a compound called citronellal, which gives it its lemony aroma and flavor that bugs find so unpleasant. Rub the fresh leaves in your hand to release the fragrance, and rub them directly on the skin, especially around ankles, arms, and other areas most exposed and vulnerable to bug bites.
Lemon balm can also boost brain power to help you and your kids stay focused. Just take a sniff for the aromatic benefits! Or perhaps a soothing lemony bath will be more your speed (just sprinkle a handful of fresh or dried lemon balm leaves in the tub).
Lemon balm also makes a beautiful garnish for iced tea and fresh summer cocktails, or add some honey and lemon balm to your cup of tea as a lovely relaxing treat.
Ideal for people who want a low maintenance garden. Easy to grow in sun or shade, and great for kids and beginners. It’s a perennial herb, meaning it will come back automatically in your garden every year on its own. (In fact, these can be vigorous spreaders, so planting in a container is recommended). To harvest, simply cut off a stem, rinse it, and enjoy it fresh, or dry a few stems hanging upside down to create your own tea.
