French Marigolds, also known as Calendula officinalis, produce chemicals that repel mosquitoes, whitefly, cabbageworm, and nematodes. Nematodes are microscopic worms that attack the roots of plants. While nearly all marigolds provide some protection from pests, the French marigold provides the greatest protection. It also acts as a trap to lure slugs away from your crops, because slugs enjoy the taste of French Marigolds. Our French Marigolds are ideal for companion planting alongside tomatoes, cabbage, brussels sprouts, and broccoli.
